Prof Sean Kehoe qualified at Trinity College Dublin and after obtaining his MRCOG came to the UK and took the post of CRC Fellow in Gynaecological Cancer at the University of Birmingham. He obtained an MD, and continued to work in Birmingham achieving subspecialty training in Gynaecological Oncology and was appointed a Senior Lecturer in Gynaecological Cancer. He then moved to Oxford and as the Foundation Professor of Gynaecological Cancer he developed the Oxford Gynaecological Cancer Centre before returning to Birmingham to take up the Lawson Tait Chair in Gynaecological Cancer in December 2012. He has lectured widely both nationally and internationally. In 2010 he was awarded the Boyle Memorial Medal by the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Ireland and was re-elected a Senior Research Fellow of St Peters in 2013.

Professor Neville Hacker AM did his initial training in Brisbane. In 1978, he moved to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to train in Gynaecological Oncology. He rose to become the Director of Gynaecological Oncology at UCLA in 1984, before returning to Australia to establish Australia’s first multidisciplinary Gynaecological Cancer Centre at the Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney in late 1986. He is a Past President of the International Gynecological Cancer Society, a Past President of the Society of Pelvic Surgeons, and a past member of the Cancer Committee of FIGO. He has written over 250 peer reviewed scientific papers, and is co-editor of Berek and Hacker’s Gynecologic Oncology, now in its 7th edition.

Prof Ngan graduated in the University of Hong Kong in 1978. She obtained MD in 1995 and FRCOG in 1996. She has been a gynaecological oncologist accredited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) since 1993, and has vast experience in open, laparoscopic and robot-assisted cancer surgery. She has got more than 400 publications in peer-review journals. Her research interest is in biomolecular studies, cancer screening, clinical trials and psychosocial studies in gynaecological oncology. Prof Ngan is the past president of the Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (HKCOG), past president of the Asia Oceania Research Organization of Genital Infections & Neoplasia (AOGIN), past Chair of the FIGO Gynecology Oncology Committee, and currently the President of the Family Planning Association of Hong Kong. She was the Head of Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (1/2009-6/2021), the University of Hong Kong, and had been endowed with Tsao Yin-Kai Professorship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2009 (1/2009-6/2021). Prof Ngan was also the head of the gynaecological oncology team and laboratory of the Department of OG, University of Hong Kong (2003-2020) and Chair of Specialty for Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Gleneagles Hong Kong Hospital Limited (6/2015-6/2021). She is the Chief of Service in Obstetrics & Gynaecology of the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital since 7/2012. Dr. Barquet is a Gynecologist Oncologist and is part of the staff of the gynecology department of the National Cancer Institute of Mexico City as coordinator of the Dysplasia Clinic and the Young Woman with Cancer Clinic. He has written several peer review articles and book chapters related to gynecology oncology. He is also a member of the National System of Researchers of Mexico and is a professor of the Oncology Gynecology residency program.

Dr Chigbu is a consultant gynaecological oncologist at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku-Ozalla Enugu, Nigeria and heads the cervical cancer prevention unit of the Teaching Hospital. He is a member of the West African Health Organization expert consultative group on cervical cancer prevention. He is also the Associate Director of the Institute of Maternal and Child Health, University of Nigeria Nsukka and the head of the Female Reproductive Health Oncology Research Group of the University. Dr Chigbu has written numerous peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on cervical cancer prevention.

Jonathan S. Berek is the Laurie Kraus Lacob Professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine and a past Fellow in the Stanford Distinguished Careers Institute. He helped establish and is the Director of the Stanford Women’s Cancer Center, which is one of the first programs in the nation to combine breast & gynecologic oncology with a women’s cancer translational research, genetics and supportive services programs. He serves as Senior Advisor, Stanford Cancer Institute, and was Chair of the Stanford Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2005-2017. An author and editor, Dr. Berek has published over 350 peer-reviewed manuscripts in the scientific literature, and numerous book chapters and monographs. His books, Berek & Hacker’s Gynecologic Oncology, 7th edition, and Berek & Novak’s Gynecology, 16th edition, are leading texts in the field. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Current Opinion in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
